Below are the most important guidelines for correctly connecting the lighting when using the Van 'n Bike system:
1. Without bike carrier (empty Van 'n Bike):
- The plug of the Van 'n Bike lighting system must be connected to the counter plug.
- This contrast plug is located on the back of the lower tube (where the “tow bar” is also located).
- See also page 3, top, in the user manual.
2. With bicycle carrier mounted:
- Simple the bicycle carrier lighting may work.
- The lights of the Van 'n Bike must be switched off.
- So, pull the plug of the Van 'n Bike out of the socket and then insert the plug of the bicycle carrier into the same socket.
- You can safely store the unused plug in the plug plate holder.
This is located at the back of the Van 'n Bike, at the height of the “tow bar”.
3. How to correctly disconnect and connect the plug:
- Pull out: Turn the plug from 12 o'clock to a quarter to 12.
- Plug in: Turn back from a quarter to 12 to 12 o'clock.
4. Before departure:
- Always check that all lighting is working properly.
- Don't forget the frame holder at the top of the carrier bracket to securely fasten the bicycle carrier.
