Recommendations for placing your bicycle carrier and bicycles on the Van 'n Bike carrier system.

What is the best way to place your bicycles on the Van 'n Bike system?

This is not much different from the way you would place them on the bicycle carrier on the back of the car.

Of course, you will first mount your bicycle carrier on the Van 'n Bike carrier system.

Once the bike carrier is mounted on the Van 'n Bike carrier system, place the supplied Van 'n Bike Frame Holder . This connects the bracket of the bike carrier to the center of the carrier system and ensures stability.

Installing this Frame Holder is important to distribute the weight resting on the ball bolt across the entire load-bearing system.

The first bicycle (the one closest to the rear of the CamperVan) is best placed with the front wheel pointing to the right.

This is the side where the 2 hinges of the Van ‘n Bike stand.

You can leave the handlebars in their original position, so you don't have to turn them crosswise.

To prevent the steering wheel from hitting the rear doors of the CamperVan during braking, it is recommended to install an additional spacer (Bike holder ).

This is not necessary for every type of bicycle, but usually is for e-bikes.

The second bike, you then place with the front wheel to the left. You can then secure it further, as explained in the instruction booklet of your bike carrier (Thule, Uebler, Bosal, ...)

How do you install this additional spacer?

On the round tubes of the Van 'n Bike system, you can place an additional spacer (Bike holder) to keep the handlebars of the bicycle away from your rear window.

The various spacers from, for example, Fiamma are extremely suitable for this purpose and can be adjusted in all directions.
